Currently our direct client in the East of the Netherlands is urgently in need of an experienced Project Engineer tasked with PLATFORM REVIEW DESIGN, this is the must have! The focus of the Project Engineer will be to review files, technical drawings and specifications. Skills and experience required: Education in mechanical engineering MSc/BSc 10 years experience as project engineer in offshore platform design, construction and offshore installation. Familiar with generally applicable offshore design and manufacturing standards Good communicative skills in English with German and/or Dutch language skills to be considered advantageous! Experienced and accurate in document administration and control. Tasks: Design review, approval and certification planning and coordination for platform marine systems Interface management with HVDC and cable systems Liaising with permits, HSE and planning departments Scope, planning and cost control on specialist service contracts Coordination of organisation and quality audits in marine systems design office, manufacturing plant and yard Coordination of yard and offshore Client representation and witnessing Participation in project risk assessment and mitigation meetings Document control for the above tasks This is a part time opportunity for the moment which could develop into a full time opportunity based on the (approved) project portfolio with 3 platform erections planned between now and 2013. Rota: 3 days per week, 1 day per week on site in Arnhem, the Netherlands, and 2 days working from home office possible whereby confidentiality agreement will be drawn up between consultant and our client. The rate on offer is set to 100 and 110 per hour all inclusive whereby international business travel (outside of the Netherlands) will be at the cost of the client.
